Modified Lacrosse Meeting

Attention to all boys who signed up for the Modified Boy's Lacrosse Team: there will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, March 17th at 2:30 p.m. in the middle school cafeteria. If you cannot make this meeting please let Mr. Boettger know.

Spring 2009 Lax at Dryden Schools

The following was on the DSC Athletic Website:

Dryden High School will be running two levels
of Lacrosse for the boys Lacrosse program --
Modified and Varsity. If you have any questions,
please contact Ralph Boettger.

Varsity Lacrosse will begin Monday March 9th and Modified will begin Monday March 23rd.

New Home Of Dryden Youth Lax

I've switched www.drydenlax.com to redirect to the drydenlax.blogspot.com blog. The other site couldn't be updated as easily as I'd liked. This will be useful as the 2009 season starts. I can instantly post from a cell phone text if practice and game changes are made.

There are still some links that have to be fixed. I'll work on them as I get a chance.

DYL - Week of 05/12/08

Thanks to all that attended and/or helped at the pancake breakfast. It was a great success. Over 300 served. Thanks a lot of Pancakes !!!

The Varsity team earned their first Win on Tuesday. They defeated Oneonta. Way to go guys !!!

I was able to get to my first JV game last night. It was close one against Elmira Notre Dame. They did a great job (in my opinion) considering they are a very young JV team with several 7th and 8th graders.

All three DYL groups will play in Ithaca on Sunday the 18th. Please arrive as close to 11:45 as possible. We will start at Noon. We are planning on two 20 minute halves. This will give those that want to get up to Cornell for the NCAAs a chance at catching some of the first half of Duke v. OSU.

The Senior Group will play in Whitney Point on Thursday 05/22/08. Please arrive as close to 6 pm as possible. We will start by 6:45 and play for about an hour. There is a link to a Google map of the field at www.drydenlax.com.

Fund Raising

We currently have 3 Fund Raisers under way or being planned. Want some Dryden Lax Apparel? Ask for an order form. The sheets are due back by Tuesday the 6th of May. The second one that is going on right now is the annual frozen cookie dough sale. This order form is due back by Thursday the 8th.
We are currently planning our 4th Annual Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast. It will be held on Sunday May 11th from 7:30 until 11:30 at the Dryden Fire Hall. Adults are $6 Seniors and Children 12 and under are $4.

Dryden Youth Lacrosse Season Starts

Practice Has started and our season is underway. This is our second full year with the K-2 little sticks. We have 12 in this division. Our Junior Group (grade 3-4) has 16 and our Senior Group (primarily grades 5-6 with a few 7th and 8th graders) has 29.

We will have our first games on Sunday May 4th, against Ithaca. The games will be at the Ithaca High School Fields.
