Dryden Lax Records First Win of Young Season
from Ithaca Journal Sat. 03/28/09
Dryden 8, Oneonta 7: At Oneonta, Stefan Christie recorded a hat trick and assisted another to lead Dryden to its first win of the season.
Jymmy Dowdall and Austin O'Brien each added two goals and an assist for the Purple Lions (1-1), who outscored Oneonta 4-1 in the third quarter.
"We possessed the ball in third more than any other quarter, and the defense really picked up the intensity, playing aggressive," Dryden coach Sean Mack said.
Mack also credited the play of long pole defender Dana Christofferson, who took faceoffs and was strong on the defensive end.
The Purple Lions are back in action Tuesday at Maine-Endwell.

Varisty Battles Whitney Point in Season Opener
The game wasn't decided until the final horn. After going out to a quick 1-0 lead, Dryden fell behind 4-1. With a never quit attitude they battled back to 4-3 and had several chances tie right up until the clock read 0:00. It was an impressive beginning to the start of the Varsity's third season. The guys should be proud.
See the link below for pictures from the game.
